Niconico Streams Meetup Between 2ch, 4chan Founders

The English video sharing website Niconico announced on Monday that it will stream the "first official meetup" between Hiroyuki Nishimura and Christopher "Moot" Poole — founders of the Japanese text message board 2ch and the American imageboard 4chan, respectively. The streaming will begin on Niconico on Wednesday morning at 7:00 a.m. EDT. The meetup will be in both Japanese and English.
Together with James Spahn, CEO of Niconico, Nishimura and Poole will be discussing what inspired the start of 2ch and 4chan and what are Nishimura and Poole's views of social media. Poole will also demonstrate his next online venture Canvas, a website dedicated to uploading and editing images to create discussion among anonymous users.
In addition to founding 2ch, Nishimura is a director of the Nico Nico Douga service that spawned the English Niconico site.
