Shino Asada, the player behind expert sniper Sinon, sports some stylish eye-wear when she's not beating the competition in Gun Gale Online. Her half-rim glasses are being recreated by Cospa, not only as a cosplay prop, but also as practical prescription glasses.
The glasses cost 10,000 yen (US$83) and customers can bring them to participating Coolens stores to add prescription lenses for 2,500 yen (US$21) plus tax.
The item is expected to ship in January.
Anime series regularly inspire tie-in eye-wear. Sportswear and sporting equipment company Mizuno recreated Miyuki Kazuya's sports glasses from Ace of Diamond. They promptly sold out in 15 minutes. Other anime like Kan Colle, Porco Rosso, Hunter x Hunter, Kill la Kill, Evangelion, and Attack on Titan have all inspired replica eyeglasses.
