Wani Books' Monthly Comic Gum Magazine Suspends Publication

The July issue of Wani Books' Monthly Comic Gum magazine is revealing on Tuesday that the magazine is suspending publication as of the July issue. The notice states that it is a temporary suspension, and the staff is currently "diligently preparing" for a "new start" for the magazine. The notice also states, "will it be online next!? Or maybe an app!? Or possibly... paper!? More information will be announced on Wani Books' Comic Gum official website in the future." The notice asked fans to continue to support Comic Gum going forward.
As of the June 2015 issue (pictured at right), the magazine was still publishing the following works:

Wani Books launched the magazine as a bimonthly special edition of its UP to boy idol gravure magazine in 1996. Comic Gum it became it's own independent magazine in 1997, and then switched to a monthly publication in 1999. The magazine has serialized such manga as Mahoromatic, Battle Vixens (Ikki Tousen), Tsukuyomi: Moon Phase, Koe de Oshigoto!, Fight Ippatsu! Jūden-chan!!, Ontama!, Candidate for Goddess, Otogi Matsuri, and Tetragrammaton Labyrinth.
