Gunslinger Girl's Aida Puts 1518! Manga on Hiatus Until Fall

This year's 34th issue of Shogakukan's Big Comic Spirits magazine announced on Saturday that Yu Aida's 1518! (pronounced Ichi Go Ichi Hachi) manga will go on hiatus until fall.
The manga's story centers around Sachi Maruyama, a girl who has just entered high school. In her new school, she finds that no club activities really interest her, so she is invited by an upperclassman from her middle school — now the student council president of her high school — to help with student council activities. There, she finds Karasuya, a boy she had met three years ago on a baseball field.
Aida launched the manga in Big Comic Spirits last August. Shogakukan published the manga's first compiled book volume on March 30.
Aida ended his Gunslinger Girl manga in September 2012. The manga inspired two anime series and an original video anime. ADV released part of the manga in North America, and then Seven Seas re-released the entire series in omnibus form in 2011-2013.
