AFA Singapore to Host Tomoyo Kurosawa, Daiki Yamashita

Southeast Asian convention Anime Festival Asia announced ;ast Thursday that it will host voice actress Tomoyo Kurosawa and voice actor Daiki Yamashita as guests.

Kurosawa began studying acting at a young age, and made her screen debut in 2000 with the Aoi Tokugawa Sandai NHK drama series, playing the granddaughter of Tokugawa Ieyasu (played in that series by Masahiko Tsugawa). She has appeared in other television dramas, commercials, and plays since then. She debuted as an anime voice actor in the 2010 Welcome to THE SPACE SHOW film. She has since starred in such anime as Aikatsu! (Otome Arisugawa), Black Bullet (Tina Sprout), Amagi Brilliant Park (Sylphy), and Yuki Yuna Is a Hero (Itsuki Inubozaki). Her most recent role is Kumiko Ōmae in the first and second seasons of the Sound! Euphonium anime. She will play the character Saki Tsukui in the upcoming Popin Q anime film.

Yamashita hails from Shizuoka Prefecture, making his voice acting debut in 2012 in minor roles in the Little Busters! anime. He made his major voice acting debut voicing supporting character Tōya in the Log Horizon anime in 2013, and then voiced main character Sakamichi Onoda in the Yowamushi Pedal anime in the same year. He has since starred in such anime as Isobe Isobee Monogatari ~Ukiyo wa Tsurai yo~ (Isobe Isobee), GLASSLIP (Hiro Shirosaki), Shōnen Hollywood - Holly Stage for 49 (Kira Saeki), Sword Art Online II (Jun), Mikagura School Suite (Usamaru), The Empire of Corpses (Nikolai Krasotkin), Prince of Stride: Alternative (Yuri Himemiya), and My Hero Academia (Izuku Midoriya).

AFA Singapore will take place at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Center on November 25-27. Voice actors Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Kanae Itō, Nobuhiko Okamoto, and Yōhei Azakami as well as writer Gen Urobuchi and artist Sebastian Masuda, are attending as guests. Previously announced musical guests include Aimer, Alisa Takigawa, Ami Wajima, HoneyWorks/CHICO with Honeyworks, Home Made Kazoku, JAM Project, Konomi Suzuki, KOTOKO, May'n, Minori Chihara, T.M. Revolution, Wake Up, Girls!, REAL AKIBA BOYZ, Niji no Conquistador, and USAGI.
