Sailor Moon -Le Mouvement Final- Musical to Screen in U.S. Theaters
posted on by Karen Ressler
The official website for the Sailor Moon franchise announced on Thursday that the Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon -Le Mouvement Final- musical will screen in some United States theaters starting on March 10. The website for the screenings has a list of theaters in 18 cities.
Most of the cast of Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon -Amour Eternal- appeared in a one-hour Sailor Moon musical performance at Houston's Anime Matsuri last April, but the website noted that this is the first time a full "2.5 Dimensional Musical" will get screenings in the United States.
Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon -Le Mouvement Final- concluded the story that began in the first new Sailor Moon musical, Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon -La Reconquista-, in 2013. The musical ran last year in Tokyo from September 8-18, Aichi from September 23-24, and Osaka from September 29 to October 1. The performance that will screen in U.S. theaters is the final performance, recorded on October 1 in Osaka.
2013's Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon -La Reconquista- was followed by Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon -Petite Étrangère- in 2014, Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon -Un Nouveau Voyage- in 2015, and Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon -Amour Eternal- in 2016. The original actresses for the Inner Guardians graduated from their roles after -Un Nouveau Voyage- and a new cast was announced for the fourth musical.
