posted on by Jennifer Sherman
A smartphone game adaptation of Hiroto Ida's Omae wa Mada Gunma o Shiranai (You Don't Know Gunma Yet) manga launched for iOS and Android devices on Tuesday. The game is titled Omae wa Mada Gunma o Shiranai Meisanpin-hen (You Don't Know Gunma Yet: Famous Products Edition).
In the game, players can select famous Gunma products such as Yaki Manju to sell at a food cart. This will cause Gunma residents to gather, allowing the player to learn Gunma secrets. The more people gather, the higher probability of learning secrets.
The comedy manga centers on Nori Kamitsuki, who moves from Chiba Prefecture to a fictionalized version of Gunma Prefecture northwest of Tokyo, and the story focuses on Gunma's culture. Before moving to Gunma, Kamitsuki only sees that the prefecture has a fearsome reputation on the net. Upon moving, he soon makes contact with the people who hold a strong love of Gunma's culture.
The 12-episode series of anime shorts premiered on April 2, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
