The July issue of Square Enix's Gangan Joker magazine revealed on Saturday that author Shinya Murata and artist Tokisada Hayami will end the Chōbu no Shinobi (Lepidoptela) manga in the magazine's August issue on July 22.
The duo launched the manga in Gangan Joker in April 2017. Square Enix released the fourth compiled volume on May 22.
The story takes place one year after the strange assassination of Oda Nobunaga at Honnōji Temple. Hanza, a samurai, decides he's going to lose his virginity in the red light district "Tsuji," and that's how he meets Rin. Rin is a gorgeous courtesan who a has secret, and she is tied somehow to Oda Nobunaga's death.
Murata and Hayami previously worked together on the Caterpillar manga. Murata and Isuka Hakozaki launched the manga in 2012, and Hayami took over for Hakozaki in 2014 after the latter passed away in 2013. The manga ended in April 2018.
Murata's Killing Bites manga with artist Kazasa Sumita inspired a 12-episode television anime that premiered in January 2018. Amazon Prime Video streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.
