Pokémon World Championships 2020 Will Be Held in London This August

In a press release, The Pokémon Company International announced that the Pokémon World Championships in 2020 will be held at London's ExCeL centre in the Docklands from August 14 to 16. This is the first time that the Championships will be held outside North America, although the ExCel Centre has previously hosted Pokémon Europe International Championships.
It invites players from around the wold to compete in Pokémon Trading Card Game and video games player, while fans can purchase spectator passes. The venue will also include a Pokémon Center store, offering a variety of products including items themed around the tournament. There will be side tournaments, special events, and other activities.
According to the website, "Invited players will not have to pay an entry fee to participate, but there will be a nominal fee for spectator badges."
