I found Sailor Moon when I was in middle school, it really changed my life as silly as that is to say. I got more into art than ever before it also helped me to become comfortable in my own skin. I've always been a rather tall girl growing up, Sailor Jupiter was my role model! She taught me I can hold my own and still enjoy girly things with out being how girls are "supposed to be". I even had a special dress made for my wedding, Sailor Moon will always be apart of me.

Sailor Moon has been my saviour since I first saw it on television. It has been my inspiration for everything as I've gone through life and it has gotten me through the hard times and the even harder times. In the photo, I am not cosplaying a Sailor Moon character, but my dream came dream as I met a group of cosplayers that made my year. I wish to be one of them and create my own cosplay in the following years. It's hard to choose just one Sailor Scout, but I think Jupiter will be what I choose.

Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon is special in many ways, being seminal for its time, and I believe it truly inspired a generation. Like Hotaru Tomoe I am passionate about poetry, and like Ami Mizuno I enjoy swimming and am a medical doctor, holding postgraduate degrees in surgery and clinical chemistry. Naoko Takeuchi's original degree was in chemistry, with her thesis on possible thrombolytic actions of ultrasound having a clinical edge. I have many cats including two cute black and white ones named Luna and Artemis. I had championed simultaneous international translation in the 90s, which will now become a reality.

For me, Sailor Moon was massively influential in the direction of my life. It caused me to take an interest in the arts, specifically animation, and by age 16, I won an animation competition in Chicago and went to an Animation school. While for financial reasons I didn't continue, I still pursued my art and have worked as a web and graphic designer. Some of my work has appeared publicly (as the painting provided) and other pieces have been auctioned to raise money for a local food bank for those in need.

Sailor Moon is the show that got me into anime. One day while making Easter Eggs, I used my magic crayon to make a crescent moon then died it with Sailor Moon colors. It's not the prettiest, but it still looks cute.

I'm getting married August 17th and I got engaged by proposing to my fiancée as Tuxedo Mask. Growing up Sailor Moon was the first anime for both of us and it means a lot to my fiancée and when we were dating we would always talk about it together. When we were dating and I knew this was the woman I wanted to marry I knew I had to make the engagement as special as I could. I rented a Tuxedo and had my friends make me the cape and mask, then I topped it off with a diamond ring.

Sailor Moon has been my life since I happened upon it when I was 13 and friendless. It took me through my awkward adolescence and into a strong adult hood. Watching Sailor Moon made me realize who I wanted to be; Someone who defended the week and helped those on the wrong path. Sailor Moon never defeated a bad guy she just showered them with love until they gave up. These are the lessons I carry onto my children now.

Sailor Moon was the first series that taught me to value myself as a woman, and to teach me that women have power. Now, 13 years later, I'm proud to still be a Moonie, and to be on my way to being the kickbutt senshi I KNOW I am.

It means a lot to me because it taught me that love is out there for anyone. Plus it gave me courage to try new things, make new friends and never be sacred to try anything I want. I went into cosplay so one day I could cosplay Rini and Wicked Lady. I even got a tattoo to remember why I love Sailor Moon so much. It saved my life as a kid and made me want to grow to find love and happiness now.

HUGE fan of SM for 19 years. I met this boy around the same time & we tortured each other. He reminded me SO much of Mamoru. (Such a JERK!) 19 years later, a few heartbreaking separations, "evil" people trying to keep us apart, we are happily married. He is my prince, my Tuxedo Mask... I've loved him for a million years, and will love him for a million more.

When Sailor Moon first came out I was about 7 and she became my hero. Soon after things at home started to become rough so I started wishing that I, myself, was Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon gave me an escape from reality and helped me through rough times. As I grew older and Sailor moon was cancelled it became a reminder to how every girl can be Sailor Moon in their own way. Today, at the age of 19 I still like to pretend that in a way I am my very own Sailor Moon.

Sailor Moon was my first anime. I'd watch it every afternoon. It was exciting, inspiring, and cool. Before I knew it, I had found an entire community of fans. I was watching, reading, and making friends; great for a shy geek like me. In college I discovered conventions. I was excited to meet more otaku. At an anime convention I met the love of my life and now husband. Without Sailor Moon, I wouldn't have loyal friends, my husband, or the best memories of my life. Sailor Moon showed me I'm not alone.

Sailor Moon is the first anime series I ever watched. Every day when I came home from kindergarten, I made an effort to watch it every day on our UPN affiliate in California. She taught me how valuable female leads are, and she will always have a place in my heart. Moon Prism Power!

Sailor Moon is important me because it has showed me that it's okay to be yourself and follow your dreams. This has brought me endless amounts of smiles and happiness in my life. My dreams continue to grow and become a reality each day. Sailor Moon has continued to be a staple in my life since I first watched it 15 years ago.

I've been watching Sailor Moon since I was seven.I related to Jupiter the most then. Sailor Moon brought me some of the best memories when my dad was living, and got me through the tough times after he passed. Sailor Moon still plays a huge role in my life, and even influenced my four month old daughters middle name "Serenity." I believe the characters all helped shaped me into who I am today. Sailor Moon taught me never to give up, always believe in the power of love, friendship, and myself. PS.I still dress up as Jupiter sometimes.

Sailor Moon stands for justice, equality, and love. She's taught me that no matter what I should stand up for myself, regardless of what others think and without fear of intolerance. I was bullied in high school, but reading and watching Sailor Moon has helped me overcome many obstacles in my life.
I've learned to be confident in my decisions and regardless of what others think because of her. To me she means that I can daydream about being a magical girl hero who inspires others to overcome their obstacles. She inspires me to be a better friend everyday.

"Sailor Moon" has always been dear to me from the time I discovered it in 1998. It has brought friendships, creativity and dreams to me and others. Just look at this drawing that my new friend (at the time) and I created way back then to bring the show back. We even circulated a petition and fan art that we sent to Toonami signed by our whole 5th grade class to show them and the USA that we meant business because "in the name of the moon, we will punish you!"

Sailor Moon means ALOT to me. It's a significant part of my life. I was a new kid in both elementary and middle school. I didn't have many friends, so Sailor Moon was always there for me when I got home. Whenever we got to pick a subject for a school project, I always use Sailor Moon (two projects made at the bottom of this picture). Sailor Moon GREATLY inspired me to draw and was the gateway into the world of Japanese animation. Sailor Moon is a life saver for me during sad times and always brings me great joy!

Since the day I was born, I have known my best friend. She's older than me, but has intellectual disabilities. This has made it very hard sometimes to have common ground as we've grown up. This has been even harder since she's moved away. However, Sailor Moon has always been there for us to talk about and share since the day she first introduced it to me at a slumber party. Just like the Sailors, our friendship and love for one another has overcome many obstacles. Sailor Moon will always represent our friendship, and I am very thankful for that.

What makes Sailor Moon so special? It's a huge part of my childhood that I now get to share with my daughter. She has been watching my old Sailor Moon DVDs for a while, but now we watch it every Monday on Hulu! Soon we will get to watch the new dub AND the new anime! I love sharing that with her. Words can't describe how happy that makes me!! I first discovered Sailor Moon when I was 10, I'm almost 24 now. I did also name my black cat Luna, I just couldn't resist haha.

Years ago I spent my summer nights watching the entirety of Sailor Moon. With my six year old brother we now watch it this summer together. He looks forward to Mondays almost as much as I do. Plus it's music to my ears to hear him hum the opening Moonlight Densetsu and say "Moon Tiara Action!" when Sailor Moon does. Sailor Moon not only means happiness and enjoyment to me, but also those feelings I can share with my brother.

Being the first anime I've ever watched Sailor Moon opened a whole new world for me, from my love of Japan, to dreaming of one day publishing my own manga. I've grown older over the years, but one of my earliest memories is of getting in trouble for hitting my brother with a sailor moon wand and claim I was protecting the world from evil, sadly I lost the wand but over the years I gained movies, books, clothing and even cosplay so though I'm older Sailor Moon still and always will be forever in my heart.

Sailor Moon is important to me because it taught me that you don't have to be perfect to be special. As an amateur cosplayer, I took this to heart when I cosplayed as Usagi. Even though I don't look exactly like her, I had fun taking photos and playing with my Luna plush. I feel this aspect should not only be used as an example in cosplay, but in other aspects of life as well. I truly believe that as long as you have a kind heart and loyal friends like Usagi, you can accomplish anything.

Sailor moon is big influence in my life; love, peace, happiness, and justice are important. It was the series that showed me; your age doesn't matter when it comes to your responsibilities, love, and following your dreams. Because of sailor moon my love of love was something I wasn't embarrassed about. I have always been passionate about Formal dress; I wanted to spend my life with it. I'm now the owner of a prom and bridal shop where discovering your inner princess is an everyday experience, and as a designer Sailor moon has always had an influence on my creations.

Two girls met in 5th grade- one soft spoken, the other a new face
They quickly became friends- bonding over their outcast state.
Video games linked them first but soon anime was introduced- the first being Sailor Moon.
Many late nights were spent watching and deciding what Senshi the other one was.
Shy but smart, Ami was found while strong willed and tough- Makoto stood her ground.
The friendship was strong and eighteen years later, it remains an unbreakable bond.
All thanks to two Sailor Senshi that proved friendship is a destiny that will last through the stars and beyond.

I loved Sailor Moon, my first Anime I ever watched too before I knew how Anime does work back then... I love seeing the show, I use to have toys when I was a kid, I met three people from Anime Boston this year of the English dubbed voice actors 'with the woman from Japan who played as Sailor Saturn'. ^_^ It was fun and I can't wait to see it in better English dubbing when it comes out. It'll be so much fun!

I started watching Sailor Moon at a young age. I identified with Usagi. Watching her mature throughout the series made me feel like I was growing up with her.
She never gave up on her dream of being happy with Mamoru, despite the many obstacles she faced. She also had a pure love for everyone around her. In the final season, Sailor Moon still showed nothing but love and compassion for Galaxia, which brought everyone back to life.
Sailor Moon inspired me to follow my dreams and face my obstacles, and to never lose sight of the importance of love.

Sailor moon was the show/story that taught me that beauty was in what you do and who you are not just how you look which is what fueled me and influenced my outlook on everything, I also learned that being pretty, powerful, and smart was possible for any young woman. It's what helped me compete in pageants and even win a title in each one first was a miss friendship title giving to one lady by the other girls, and the other was a Provencal title, where I got to rain as ambassador of my province for a year.

This show was the thing that made every day I was teased easier it was what convinced me that I can still believe in myself and that if I don't it's not just me who can't win but others too. It is what made all the people who were cruel to me feel like nothing so I could go to school the next day and not hate myself. It's also what helped me understand the importance of a healthy relationship, and keep believing in true love, and that it is something you must work to keep, no matter what.

Sailor moon was an academic support, I have a learning disability that wasn't diagnosed until I graduated high school (with honours) the fact that Usagi wasn't good with grammar and spelling was actually a big deal for me she is the only protagonist I can think of who, has a real life weakness, and a weakness that I shared with her and still do. In more ways than one she was my saviour and the reminder that it is up to me for things to get better, and I control my happiness.

To some Sailor Moon is a show, but to me it is more than that. It has been a relatable aspect of my life ever since I was a young girl. Sailor Moon taught me to never give up and to always be true to myself. It helped me explore my creativity, which has inspired me to get involved with painting and costuming. At times it was hard to express myself because of what others may think, but the series gave me the courage to embrace my talents and helped me realize that I am stronger than I think.

Not only is Sailor Moon super nostalgic to me, but Naoko Takeuchi has been the biggest inspiration to my art. I started drawing Sailor Moon in grade school and haven't stopped since! Now, I have a daughter who is equally as inspired as I am. Thanks to Miss. Takeuchi, I found my talent for art, and I am building precious moonie memories with my daughter!

Sailor Moon means to me my childhood and all the wonderful life experiences as you grow up. True at times we all may fight with our friends and family but what matters is being able to have the ability to say you're sorry and make up. But above all the love always shines through and wins over evil. Sailor Moon I thank you from the bottom of my heart for getting me through some of the worst times in my life, such as family and pet death. I love you and thank you.

Sailor Moon saved my life. I had just moved countries, I didn't know how to speak English, and I had no one to talk to. I was heavily depressed but Sailor Moon is the show that kept me going - it taught me to be strong, to love, and to believe in myself. I have made the most genuine friends thanks to Sailor Moon, and without it, I would not be here today. I've recently cosplayed as Prince Endymion as a tribute to the incredible impact this series has had on my life. Thank you Sailor Moon.

Sailor Moon introduced me to the world of Japanese anime on Sunday morning syndication and then on the usa network. It opened the door to me researching and find out about similar stand up and fight evil shows. It also introduced me to conventions and cosplay. It not only inspired me during my young days but even to this day I meet more friends through cosplaying Jeadite from Sailor Moon. I leave you with a photo of me cosplaying the first Villain Jeadite.

Sailor Moon has been a huge part of my life ever since I can remember. It's my salvation when nothing goes right, it became my obsession when I started collecting (over 600 items at last count), and it became my hobby when I started cosplaying (17 costumes and every form of Sailor Moon). My name is Serena, I had a cat named Luna growing up, I have a large SM tattoo, and I'm making Usagi's wedding dress as my own. I just wish I had more than 100 words to show my love, because I could write you a novel.

I've been watching and enjoying Sailor Moon since I was five years old, and I don't think I would have made many of the choices I have made in the past 20 years without it. Without Sailor Moon, I'm not entirely sure I would have picked up Japanese as a foreign language, or if I would have developed a specific interest in East Asian cultures or if I would have picked up drawing seriously without it. It has been a vital part in some of my life decisions and I love where I am now because of it.

Sailor Moon cast a music spell on me. It's one of the reasons I love the series. Seeing Michiru play the violin inspired me so much I begged my parents for a violin at thirteen; I was determined to learn the Outer Senshi Theme and Michiru's solos. I later quit music. It wasn't until nearly 8 years later that I resumed playing music; this time with the Cello/Piano. Currently I'm getting a BA in Music. My dream is to compose, build connections and enchant others by sharing stories through music; just what Sailor Moon did for us Moonies. :)

As a child who was bullied relentlessly, this show proved to me that girls were worth something. I was orphaned at 13 and Serena was still there in my tapes and comics, still there telling me I could be the hero of my own life. I am also an illustrator because of Sailor moon, I learned how to draw and write through my love of this series. This series has shaped me into someone who can stand tall and be proud of myself. I came from nothing in a broken home to being my own celestial warrior.

As a competitive dancer, my way of cosplay is different. Every time I "transform" into one of my dance costumes, I act, look, and feel like a certain character while I'm onstage. (This costume in particular is my Sailor Galaxia cosplay!) The trophies I receive are my scepters and the many friends I dance with are the other Sailor Soldiers. Together, we stand for the love and passion of dance! My performance level thrives through Sailor Moon's inspiration and I know my dancing ability wouldn't have gotten this far without it!

I met my husband eight years ago, and the first thing I learned about him was that he loved Sailor Moon. He openly proclaimed his love of the anime, which I completely echoed. I thought to myself, "I should marry this boy." We were married six years later, and inevitably elements of Sailor Moon—the thing that brought us together—made its way into our wedding including the music, our vows, and even our photos! Even funnier, we didn't realize until the day after, that we were married on Sailor Moon's birthday, June 30!

Sailor Moon was my gateway to everything I love to this day. It has been the inspiration for my love of writing on many occasions, my focus for a lot of my cosplays, and been an inspiration for drawing. Not to mention an increased love for black cats! Writing has been my prime love in life, and thanks to the dreams I gained with the inspiration from all things Sailor Moon related, I find myself closer to my dream now more than ever of creating my own magical girl story and being able to share it with others.
